Estate Planning
At higher levels, Estate Planning can be very complex, like investment planning can be. We work with top-notch professional attorneys to coordinate all aspects of your financial planning with your estate, including financial independence calculations, charitable giving strategies, trusts, and more.

Estate Planning: What It Is
Estate Planning is far more than getting a Will or Trust drafted. It can involve large-scale gifting, irrevocable trusts, principal and secondary residences, changing states of residence, titling of assets, generation-skipping provisions, charitable trusts, life insurance, proper beneficiary designations, probate avoidance, and much more. Seasoned financial planners work hand-in-glove with estate planning attorneys to coordinate the implementation of a proper plan, given your goals and objectives, to leave the legacy you desire.

Estate Planning Process
The Estate Planning process has virtually the same steps as the Investment Planning Process. Information is gathered (generally, we have much of this already); an analysis is done, and new strategies are developed; these are presented and explained to you; and we help you work with your estate planning attorney to implement the plan. Periodic review is also recommended.

Costs
Estate Planning is generally a service we provide to Investment Planning clients at no extra cost. Attorneys, of course, have charges to draft documents and for any administrative work such as re-titling assets, changing beneficiary designations, etc.
